Mr. Sergey Kiselev Appointed as a Director General of the Development Corporation of Middle Ural

Mr. Sergey Kiselev was recently appointed as a Director General of the Development Corporation of Middle Ural. The Board of Directors of the DCMU including the representatives of the Government of Sverdlovsk Region has taken this decision. Sergey Kiselev had been earlier occupying the post of the Deputy Minister of Building and Infrastructure Development and has been relieved from this position by the Governor’s Decree by January, 13th 2017. He has already started working in the Development Corporation of Middle Ural.

As Sergey Kiselev put it, “There are a lot of objectives of the Development Corporation of Middle Ural. Some of them are prioritized. First objective directed by the Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Mr. Evgeny Kuivashev is to increase the interest of domestic and foreign investors to the Region”.


According to the new DCMU Director General, in order to achieve the tangible results it is necessary to consolidate efforts of the development institutions and the Government bodies of Sverdlovsk Region. He reminded that the main performance indicator to measure the investment attractiveness of the Region is the Rating regularly prepared by the Agency of Strategic Initiatives.

The other objective of the Development Corporation of Middle Ural is to develop the “Bogoslovsky”  Industrial Park  in the town of Krasnoturinsk which has been awarded the status of the Advanced Social and Economic Development Territory (ADT) by the special Decree of the Russian Government in 2016.

Besides, the DCMU should be developed into the center of competence in the industrial property sector of Sverdlovsk Region.

Sergey Kiselev also marked, “The Development Corporation of Middle Ural has been done quite some work - a lot of meetings and negotiations have been conducted achieving certain results. Our aim now is to convert the quantity into the quality and to put the activities in order”.
