On October 4th, during the Forum of Inter-Regional Cooperation in Astana Mr. Vladimir Putin
suggested investors from Kazakhstan to take advantage of the Advanced Social and Economic Development Territory in the Urals.
“New perspectives for joint projects have been opened up in our country in the cities of advanced development. Including the areas which are close to Kazakhstan, I mean the Urals region, where the special conditions for doing business were introduced in September. There is a long-standing tradition of cooperation between this region and Kazakhstan. We invite Kazakhstan business to beсome pioneers among foreign investors to enjoy the benefits of the Special Economic Zone,” – the President said.
The Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Mr. Evgeniy Kuivashev also took part in the Forum. The status of ADT had been assigned to the town of Krasnoturinsk by the efforts of the regional Authorities in September meaning the special conditions have had to be created for the companies doing business in the town district including reduced or zeroed taxes, simplified administration procedures and other benefits. According to Evgeniy Kuivashev speaking at the International Investment Forum “Sochi-2016” the mono-town Krasnoturinsk received the second scheduled federal finance tranche from the Mono-towns Development Fund of more than 80 million Roubles. The first tranche of 189 million Roubles has been received by the town in 2015. These funds have been utilized for improving the social infrastructure in the area and for development of the Bogoslovsky Industrial Park to attract new investors.
As Mr. Ilya Krivogov, the Director General of Mono-towns Development Fund marked it, - “the Bogoslovsky Industrial Park is the most important project with intensive impact on local community. In 2015 the management team from Sverdlovsk Region has completed a training course in SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management and successfully presented the project of Krasnoturinsk development including various methods of supporting the town. I believe that the adopted action plan will allow to create more than two thousand new workplaces in the nearest future and to attract more than 11 billion Roubles of investments.”
Earlier during the executive meeting on development of small and medium business chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Regional Government - the Minister of Investments and Development Mr. Alexey Orlov, a concept of the Bogoslovsky industrial business incubator was presented.
As Mr. Dmitry Popov, a Director General of the Development Corporation of Middle Ural which is the Project initiator, put it – “The business incubator could become one of the best measures of the State support of business. The entrepreneurs will be able to rent an office in the modern production facility on preferential rates and to receive tax benefits as well”.
